I uninstalled antivirus 2009 but it keeps automaticlly scanning, can someone tell me how to fix this?

in the bottom right part of my comp it keeps telling me that my computer is infected and i should download this antivirus 2009 to get rid of the problems and when i did it kept telling me to go to this site and i uninstalled it but it keeps telling me to install it to get rid of the infection...when i uninstalled it i looked in the add/remove program and i could not find it so i don't know where else to look so if someone could help me out it will be appreciated!

antivirus 2009 can't be uninstalled because it is malware. you can either delete all of its files manually or you can run antispyware scan to delete it. i see other answerers have already recommended you buying some tools, so i'll suggest you manual removal: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-antiviru...
