I use Word 2007. If I want to set it to open to a specific default folder at the beginning, how do I do that?

In Word 2007, click on Office Button | Word Options | Advanced, scroll down to the bottom of the resulting menu, click on File Locations, and modify the location for "Documents" to your specific default folder.
