I use a Bellsouth address for my yahoo groups. Last July, my posts from this address began ending up in the spam file. The moderators would post them and approve me, but the same thing kept happening. I dropped all the groups. I just rejoined a group. I receive all the e-mails from others. However now my posts are not showing up anywhere. It shows that I have never posted. What is going on

  1. Are you sure you signed up with the Bellsouth address? If you accidentally signed up using the yahoo email address then your messages will be kicked back and not posted to the group.

Go to the group home page and click on Edit Membership. It will be really small at the top of the page, so look carefully.

Once in the edit screen, check to be sure that you have your Bellsouth email address listed on there and that it is selected as the address you are using for the group. Yahoo groups should have sent you a confirmation email when you set up this alternate email address and that would have an activation link to get the Bellsouth address set up for the group.

  2. the address itself wouldn't spark the groups spam filter, it's a filter word bot that's faulty. the spam filter being faulty, owners have a choice of turning it off.

most times if you use the wrong address, it'll be returned to you, and if that's not happening, and you are getting group mail at that address, more than likely it's an issue with the group itself, and pending approvals.

you'd need to contact the owners of the group to see if the messages were in the spam filter, if your posts are moderated.
