  1. Guess I'll join the crowd of those who wished they'd seen this forum before spending the last 3-4 hours: downloading the latest AVG 8, uninstalling, reinstalling, downloading & using two different free programs to try & locate a missing .bin file, & of course rebooting multiple times. Has anyone notified Grisoft directly yet?

  2. Well, I think its every AVG users' problem world wide. But as I write this, I've already updated my AVG 8. No, I did not use those short cuts suggested by other fellow AVG users. I simply re-install it. Then, update. To my surprise, it pushes through. Go ahead. Its been solved already by AVG.

  3. i have had the same thing come up this morning as has my partner, ive rebooted to see if that helps but it has come up several times since its only the update manager an nothing to be concerned about all your antivirus an antispyware is working.  I right clicked an chose to ignore it an once i rebooted again it hasnt come back up with the file at all.

  4. You can find a solution to the problem here
