I use several small space heaters annually, as well as a couple of fans and have to replace these almost annually because the fan seems to 'freeze' up. That is to say, when the power is off, the fan does turn freely, however, when powered up, the fan seems to be stuck at the same particular place. Often, I can get the fan running by moving it manually, but this only works for a short time, thus necessitating replacement; It almost appears that the motor turns into a magnet! Can you tell me what's happening?
