So far I’ve used it hasn’t work. Can any one give tips of things they’ve used in the pass while trying to get pregnant. I have faith however I need advice in how to take care of my body when trying to get pregnant. My other problem is that I haven’t stared my period so I can’t take clomid until I start my period so that makes me fall behind again.

  1. I used chlomid myself because I don't ovulate on my own and I wa on 50mg for 5 months.  I didn't get pregnant the first 4 cycles but I did on the 5th.  I used clearblue digital opk's in order to help me time intercourse exactly and well am sure that using these along with the chlmid has given me the joy of getting that BFP.  I am now 29 weeks along with a healthy beautiful baby boy and I could not be happier.  Don't give up hope for this drug just yet it does work and i am proof!!!

  2. Hi I'm on my sec round of clomid 50mg the first round worked we just didn't conceive.so I'm at it again.I had to use provera to start my period the first time before I started clomid .After i ovulated and everything I got my period the 28th day.For the first time ever in my life.II'mnow on my sec round.I take pprenatalvitamins, and 500 mg of vitamin c.the vitamin c is suppose to boost the clomid.Which iI'mguessing it did.I use answer ovulation test which detect your lh surge to give you notice that you will soon be ovulating.anymore questions email me.good luck baby dust...

  3. No not really I take clomid 50mg this is my third cycle and I did ovulate since I been taking it. You don't suppose to start until your dr tell you to. I start on day 3 of my cylce thru day 7. Around day 12 you should start using opk to detect when your about to ovulate which is usally nine days after your last pill. I also take metformin 1500mg

  4. I have the same problem as you.  I've been taking clomid for my last three cycles to increase my ovulation.  You can ask your doctor to prescribe Provera to you (a medication that will induce a period) and then take the clomid on days 5-9.  Also, I was told by my doctor that "normal" rates for getting pregnant are one in five.  Therefore, don't get worried that clomid isn't working for you until you've at least taken it consistently for five cycles.  All the best to you!

  5. i think usually the doctor should give you provera to make you have a period before you start the clomid - i would call the doctor to discuss this.  once you have a normal cycle, then you use the clokmid, and i think they will give you 3 cycles of clomid to try increasing the dosage every time.  once you go through 3 cycles of clomid and there are still no signs of ovulation, then i believe they have to start pursuing or considering other interventions, such as iui or ivf.  i would definitely call for a meeting with the doctor to discuss your situation and the best course of action.  hope this has helped a little - best of luck and baby dust to you!!!

  6. I have PCOS and have recently just linked in with an IVF clinic who are fanastic. I am currently on 1500mg metformin and 50mg clomid which i take from day 2-6. I used the metformin for two months to get a regular cycle, then started using the clomid. I am currently doing OI which i need to have regular scans to check sizes of my folicals. when my dominate folical is over 18ml i am given a pregnal "trigger" shot, which makes the folical release. Have just done my first cycle with the pregnal and currently crossing fingers that it has worked?

Drs will only give you 6 months on clomid, next step is injectables

    I also take folic acid

Good Luck hang in there you are just at the start of it all
