I have a white sweater made from a synthetic material. I spilled pomegranite juice on it! I quickly used hydrogen peroxide to take out the juice stain. And off I went. By the end of the day, the sweater had developed a yellow mark where I dabbed the peroxide. Any suggestiosn how to get the yellow out?

  1. Did you wash the sweater directly after the pomegranate stain dissipated? If you didn't wash it, that's why you got a yellow stain. I would suggest the clorox bleach pen, after using it on the stain, let it sit for a few minutes, then throw it into your washer. It should bring it out, but there are no guarantees.

  2. Hydrogen peroxide works in the same way as bleach so it can cause yellowing.  The only thing I know of to get rid of it is blueing but that's more for the whole garment.

  3. Try "Bluing" compound - available at the store in the laundry section - it'll get that yellow spot out - provided it can be used on your material.
