I used Kilz oil based primer in a room last night ?

and when I took a load of towels out of the dryer this morning they smelled like primer and I keep smelling it as I run the dryer, is it because I left the empty primer containers sitting in the laundry room or is that smell just absorbed into everything?

That particular brand of primer is the best to use, but it does leave a very strong smell for days.  I would put the empty containers outside or in your garage,not the laundry room.  Then I would air out the room you primed with it by opening windows and using a fan.  Then rewash your laundry.

the empty container still contained fumes just put a fan in the room for about 5 mins should clear up the problem
