Question:

I used a weekly feeder for vacation and now I have white fluffy stuff in the tank? Any thoughts?

The feeder was for many fish, but I only have two small ones...there was no other size choice for me, so I think it may have been too much food or particles from the feeder.

  1. It is fungus. Just wipe it off. Hope I helped!!


  2. It's mold on the leftover food.  Do a immediate water change and suck out all of it.  Next time you go away, fish can survive without food for a good week or two.  They'll find leftover pieces of food and algae in the tank to eat on, so don't use those feeders anymore.

  3. either mold or fungus from the "food" you left in there for a week

    or chalk used as filler the "food" you left in there for a week

    PEOPLE! DON'T BUY VACATION FEEDERS!!!!
