I used a marine injection oil instead of the two stroke oil. I've been running the engine of the tank of gas I mixed in with wrong oil and it has been running fine. How bad will this hurt the engine if at all, and what should I do if it is bad. Am I OK to run the rest of the tank of gas?

  1. If the oil you used is made for use in OIL injected outboards you'll be OK. Both the mixable oil and the injection oil are made to dilute in gas and properly lubricate your engine.

If you used Direct fuel injected outboard oil such as BRP XD-100 or Mercury Optimax oil those oils are Not made to dilute in gas and are not for use that way. It'd be a good idea to either drain the gas or at least put some of the right stuff in.

For mixing oil what you want is a 2 stroke oil with a TCW-3 rating.

  2. It may explode!! so u would better fix

  3. Drain the tank & put in the right stuff. =^ )
