I used oven cleaner on my crock pot!!!?

I used oven cleaner on my crock pot and now it's ruined!! Can I still use it? Is there any way to fix it?

Oven cleaner will literally strip the coating off the pot and ruin it permanently. You cannot use it now. Toss it out and get a new one. If you have some stubborn stains on it, fill it with water and allow it to simmer or just pour hot water into the pot and let sit 10 minutes then come in with a pair of gloves and a 3m scrubber and clean it out really easily.

toss out the chemicals!!!  wash the crock pot with warm soapy water.

No, especially if it is a one unit crock pot where the pot and heating unit are all one that do not come a part.

If it is a two part crock pot, where the ceramic pot comes out of the heating unit, then you can replace the crock or the heating unit part, but if not, time to buy a new crock pot.

Hamilton Beach makes the best one I know.
