  1. When you got really drunk, your body went into shock because of alcohol poisoning (yes, it's a poison, and no, that doesn't mean I'm against doing it responsibly and respectfully to those around you).  Your brain subconsciously remembers the poisoning, and whenever it seems like your about to ingest alcohol, it triggers the 'disgust' reaction to keep you from drinking it.  Your brain is smarter than you are, after all.

The way around it is to start drinking /really/ weak cocktails mixed with fruit juice to mask the flavor of the alcohol until you manage to become desensitized to it again.

The active ingredients in cannabis also have vomit-suppressing effects which could help you drink, if you're into that whole illegal drugs thing.

  2. a bad hangover was all it took for me to not like alcohol anymore!! ;)

  3. Me too. I love drinking, love feeling buzzed. Hate getting drunk. Hate hangovers. And Hate the burn and taste of alcohal. I still drink, but only things mixed so you can't taste the alcohal that much. I'm still not a lightweight, but more of a lightweight than I used to be. I can't figure it out either. It did happen after the first time i drank emotionally and got so drunk my liver hurt, but other than that I see no reason for it. Your body is probably just rejecting what hurt it before.
