Before I met my fiancee of 8 months I used to have regular periods and around the 14th day of my cycle I would experience egg white cervical mucus that would lead me to believe I was ovulating. I found out a couple of weeks ago that I had chlamydia. I had s*x with my fiancee for the first time in December and since then my periods have been a little irregular(they come every month just at different times) and I dont have the egg white CM anymore. Does this mean that I am infertile? Help me I want to get pregnant so badly!!!!!

  1. No, it definitely doesn't mean your infertile.  I'm concerned about the recent chlamydia infection.  It is a sexually transmitted disease (STD).  Was your fiancee treated as well?  If not and you are sexually active, you are just passing it back and forth.  STD's can cause sterility.

  2. The CM could change because of different medications, diet, many things. The Chlamydia could also be to blame for both the CM and irregular periods. From what I understand, you and your fiancee should be sure to treat and cure the Chlamydia before trying to conceive. Having Chlamydia can cause damage to a developing fetus. I wish you the best and good luck and baby dust!!

  3. ok so you have chlamydia and your ttc ? did your bf give this you?

are u really ttc right now?

  4. I would say that the meds changed your body, so now you are irregular.  You might also be stressed and not ovulating, so you wouldn't get that discharge.  You should chart your temps to see if you are ovulating (Read "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler).  You might just be getting a period since you built up so much lining.  Definitely find out more about your cycle  before you go to a doctor.  It's the easiest thing to do and pretty cheap (just buy a basal body thermometer) and check out that book from the library.  Goodluck!
