Question:

I usually never dream or if I do I don't remember them, but now I'm frequently dreaming - what do they mean?

Some of my more recent dreams that I (surprisingly) remember are:

Before school started, I dreamt I had this really deep conversation with a peer from school. I've NEVER talked to this guy before or ever had a class with him before. Then it turns out this year is the first time I had a class with him.

Another one...

I dreamt that I ended up at my second choice college and realized I was miserable while sitting in a movie theater on campus. In this dream I was also dragging around all my luggage everywhere. My friends were all there but they were really happy. (I guess this one is self-explanatory)

In yet another dream I was pregnant. This was weird/scary/very random because I haven't had a boyfriend and don't engage in that kind of business...

I'm now a senior in high school...is the stress of school and college applications getting to me and reflecting in my dreams or what?

Do dreams really mean anything? Or are they just chemicals in your brain going haywire?

Please let me know what you think/interpret my dreams. Thanks.

  1. Dreams can mean lots of things but they can also mean nothing. If you're remembering your dreams one thing it can mean is exactly what you said: your mind is troubled right now. Dreams are a good way for your mind to subconsciously work through your anxiety.

The pregnant dream is simply another indication of being in a fearful/anxiety-inducing situation. It's an unknown situation that right now you can only imagine, just like your future at college.

The stress and anxiety is normal at this transitional point in your life. I suspect that once you do go to college, your dreams will still be vivid for the first few months, but they'll change and become dreams of people and places from when you were in high school.
