  1. no

  2. No usually that slows you down.  Always strive fof longer stirdes when it comes to sprinting.

  3. NO!!! that will make you run slower because you have to take more steps to get there and you can only move your legs so fast

  4. No, you should practice running faster, Seriously.

    Good Luck

  5. Don't try to make your stride longer or shorter. Stride is totally dependent on how much support force you have at ground contact. The more power you have at ground contact results in a shorter contact time and longer stride length. It is not a pawing or pushing motion as force plate studies show max force before 1/2 of ground contact time. It is strictly a rebound motion (like a superball) that improves with isometric strength and short high speed sprints.

  6. A common mistake in runner is to over stride.

Your foot should contact the ground only slightly ahead of your body, coming rearward at the same speed you are moving forward.

Keep the foot dorsi flexed and the action is a pawing motion.

Your stride length is behind you because running is a pulling motion.

Strength determines your stride length if you do not reach out too far in front.

Speed is the combination of length of stride and the number of strides  you can take in a given time.

So what is the correct stride length for you is something you must discover from working and having someone watch you to help you make corrections.

  7. You could give that a try, but what would work definetly faster, is putting a big rock in front of your opponent.

Or call her on her mob. tell her shes needed home urgently, like now!
