Question:

I viewed with interest on a trout fly website a representation of a maggot and it got me thinking?

is there also a fly/lure representation of an earthworm available? As a former coarse fishing angler I can imagine how, along with the maggot, they may be quite useful additions to my fly box if it were both available

And how would you fish them, on a floating line with a sunken leader/tippet, or very slowly retrieved on a sinking line?

  1. There is a blood worm imitation, similar to what you mention, its fished slowly on a floating line (fluorocarbon leader, such as airflo g3 or riverage grand max), they are  created on a simple wet hook about size 12 with long legs created from various materials, some use marabou, others floss, flexi-floss etc.
