I walked in late and he looked at me then sort of put his head down?

This guy I like, who I used to have a little flirty thing with but we never hooked up or anything, is now in my foods class (home ec).

It was my first day of school today, and me and my friend in our cheerleading uniforms walked into the class late, when everyone was already seated and the teacher was talking.

When I looked at him he kind of put his head in hands, like he didn't want me to see him? I don't understand why?

Oh and throughout the whole classes we kept glancing at each other and making eye contact for about 1/2 a second then quickly looking away.

The head in hands and eye contact thing really confuses me. Especially the head in hands. What does all of this mean? I know I over-analyze too much...
