I wan to know why people have dreams and do some of them have a meening...? i had a weird dream.?

Don't really know why people dream. Though, dreaming seems to go hand in hand as a function of sleeping and most if not all people do it apparently.

I believe dreaming can encompass a range of sleep experiences and types

As a whole, dreams seem to be involved more with the deeper subconscious and creative aspect of ourselves and don't

fit into our conscious, logical concept reality that we attempt to categorize and put in a box

Some possible functions of the dream experience

1.Some people have dreams they believe are prophetic a peek into a likely future before it happens.  Many dreams could be warning or  trying to tell you something important from a deeper more knowledgeable part of yourself

2.Dreaming could be a way of our subconsious mind making sense of our daily thoughts that go nowhere but here

3.Other dreams seam to be symbolic and make no logical sense.

4.Maybe dreams are a portal to different dimensions
