  1. Sorry, I'm not a Mom, but I am a Dad. I would not leave my child with an 11 year old - no offense, I am sure you are very nice and mature for your age, I would not personally consider a babysitter under the age of 15-16.

  2. Absolutely not.  But I can give you some tips.

Start with what you know.  Find some family with younger kids, and offer to help them every once in a while.  I'm not saying you should follow your aunt around and nag her.  But at a family function, offer to take care of some of the younger children.  If you do a good job, maybe they'll call you for a couple hours to watch them alone.  That gives you respectable references for when you do get out on your own.

  3. Don't be in such a hurry to claim responsibility for a child. You are still young and do not need to worry about such things. If you need money, a good thing to do is help neighbors with housework and little odd jobs. They will appreciate this much more. You have to understand that some mothers are very protective when it comes to their children and it is hard to leave a child to watch their child. Just have fun while you are young.

  4. 11? i wouldnt even let my 11 year old child watch themselves... you are way too young wait a few years

  5. 11? Probably not. Wait a year or so.

  6. Most states have laws that babysitters need to be a certain age before they can babysit children other than siblings. In my state you have to be 12.

Perhaps you could ask your mom to sign you up for a babysitting class at your local YMCA. It would show prospective moms that you have studied and are reliable to babysit.

  7. i wasnt trusted at 13...  :(

but now i have kids at the age of 3 and i might trust you if you are responsible

  8. Not with the level of maturity you're showing here, no.
