  1. Use spell-check, grammar check, and stay away from people who you end up being accused of cheating for associating with.  Do your homework, do extra problems if they don't make sense, study for tests, and prepare for class - do the reading ahead of time.

  2. don't be afraid to talk to your teachers for help...they remember and will give you the benefit of the doubt if they know you're honestly trying. Ask them how they would suggest taking notes, etc. Also, ask if you can have a study group after school or during lunch or study hall with the teacher and the students in your class before a test...the worst they can say is no!

When you study for tests, or know a test is coming up, sit down for 10 min a day 1-2 weeks in advance and just read through the notes every day. It makes it a lot easier to remember for the test and you won't get as nervous or anxious (:

Studying in groups or making up silly ways to remember things helped me out too...one I made up 6 years ago I still remember is a science one...we had to memorize the periodic table "Pb" is the sign for lead. well, i thought up pb=peanut butter, which is heavy, like lead! It's really dumb and sometimes don't even make much sense, but you'll remember them come test time. Also, making acronyms for lists of things helps a lot...take the first letter of each word or phrase and make them stand for something else...for example,

    English: Noun, Verb, Adjective, Adverb

    Every New Vowels Adds Action!!

Again, doesn't really make sense, but you'll remember it

Sounds like you have an excellent attitude...keep up the good work!! And good luck!

  3. Ask your mom to sign you up for tutorting or maybe after school interventions like that. When you get home, review the things you've learned for 10-20minutes.

    Good luck.

  4. if you really mean all that, you'll succeed with that attitude, you don't need any help
