  1. You might want to go vegetarian gradually. Start with being vegetarian just one or two days a week and slowly build up. There are lots of good-tasting faux meats available these days. My favorites are Nate's Meatless Meatballs, Tofurky Deli Slices, Gardenburger Meatless Riblets, and Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chik'n Strips.

This site has a guide to going vegetarian in a month:

Just remember that going veg doesn't need to be an overnight switch. You can make the transition at your own pace. Good luck!

  2. sorry,  you're too weak,   just stick with the sins of the flesh deary.

  3. Eat soy products (veggie burgers, soy chicken, etc.)  They taste similar.  Try Morning Star or Boca foods

  4. take it in steps; if you really are dedicated to becoming a vegetarian, you might also want to talk to your doctor too. but first, cut out which meats you particularly don't want to eat. pork if thats the worst for you, or beef, or whatever. you don't have to just stop eating all meat so abruptly. also, Morningstar, Boca, and several other companies make soy products that taste and smell like the real thing. heres a recipe to try out with boca's, from their website:

also, with being a vegetarian, make sure that you are still getting all your iron and protein. protein loss headaches are pretty bad, so keep that as high as usual by switching in soy and complete proteins like rice and beans. i've been a vegetarian since i was five years old, and its a lot easier to keep up then most people. yes, at restaurants salads will become dinner rather then filet mignon, but its very healthy in the long run.

  5. Have you seen Earthlings? It might give you a push that would turn you off from meat if that is what you want.

If you have cravings, just think about the horrors shown in that video, if it is what you really want, you will eventually stop seeing meat as food

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegan people have the same potential as anyone else.

If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise?

  6. You have to decide. I personally don't have a problem eating meat. I'm not eating a pet, its a cow. They're ugly, smelly, and pretty much useless for anything besides milk and meat. There isn't some mystic bond between man and cow. They're just too stupid to have any intelligence. Same with chickens and sheep. Pigs are a bit smarter, but still.

So you just need to decide. But don't think of the animal as a being that has dreams and aspirations, one who could build cities and write books. They just sit there, eat grass, and eventually die.

If you really want to be veg, then there are some meat substitutes out there that don't taste quite as bad as cardboard, but nothing that tastes remotely like real meat.
