  1. To be an extra you don't have to have an agent.

Here in NM there is site to log into that gives info on movies or TV programs that need extras.  Try finding a site in your area.  Also places you can find online can give you places to audition.  I don't know where you are from.  But as a person who does extra work  its not very exciting.  The hours are long and sometimes the pay isn't too great.  As an extra you are not treated well either by some movie productions.

Resumes want name, contact telephone number, and stats, ht., wt., hair and eye color, any tatoos  sizes you wear, shoes shirt, dresses etc.  Any training or jobs you may have had.  ie dance, martial arts  that sort of thing  Also a nice head shot.  And if you are under 18 you need a parent with you on the set if you get hired.

    Hope the info helps.

  2. you NEED an agent! you dont have to pay the agent, they get 105 of what you earn!  definately do research and talk to your parents more...tell them its your passion. and also start small and work your way up. being an extra in films most likely wont happen without experience. start with school productions or find a local theater near you. then find an agent and they will do the rest for you (:

  3. 1. Training. Acting/Dancing/Singing classes are a good start. You start to get some talent under your belt, and grow your confidence. Plus, if after about a year of classes if you realize you really don't like it, it'll be easier for you to back out.

    2. Experience. Do Community Theater, act in your school play, get in some student films, etc. You'll want to do as many productions as possible to have a great resume.

    3. Agent. http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/tale...

As you can see, you're going to need to spend at least two years (At the VERY least. Usually you'll need three to four.) building yourself up. You'll want to make sure this is what you really want to do before you start getting into this.

Also, you should NEVER have to pay for anything when it comes to getting an agent. If an agent tells you to take special classes from them or a website asks for a credit card number, that is a red flag that it is a scam. Some of the big scammers out there are: John Robert Powers, Millie Lewis, John Casablancas, Proscout, Model Look, Barbizon.

Hope this helps and I wish you a fantastic career. =)

  4. Hi, I know what you are feeling. My mother was not supportive of my dream of acting when I was a kid. I'm going to be very honest with you because you are under 18 there is nothing you can do without your parents permission. I highly recommend getting involved in your school plays, theatre club and any activity that puts you in front of an audience. Also read books on acting techniques and how to break into show business. Just think of this time as your preparation time so when you turn 18 you will be on fire for agents and casting directors.

As far as being an Extra in film and televsion check with your local state and city film office. They usually have a hotline # you can call to hear what's filming in the area and who needs Extras in their production. You cannot be an Extra unless you have a parent with you because you are currently a minor. Sorry. But check out the Arizona Film Office site at www.azcommerce.com and their hotline # is 602-771-1230.

Since you are close to Phoenix:

    Phoenix Film Office

    200 W. Washington St., 19th Floor

    Phoenix, AZ 85003

    Phone: 602-262-4850

    Fax: 602-534-2295

    Phoenix Film Line (recording)

    602-534-3456

I listed this info so you can start asking the right people in your area any questions you may have about Extra Casting Agencies and Acting Schools. I don't want you to get scammed by many con-artists preying on young actors.

For the resume it is very different from the regular resume. I suggest going to this talent agency's site: Stewart Talent. I'm from Chicago and this agency has their talent listed on the site. So check out their site and look at the actors headshots & resumes.

    Go luck!!!
