I want to learn about money, how to handle it and such. I'm trying to learn by reading articles on line, but end up more confused than enlightened after wards. Are there any good books out there I can check out, a magazine, even a website that can help me? thanks

  1. Try that Suzie Orman lady.

She is good at explaining financial concepts.

You can get formal education as well, what she discusses is the same as text books, so its nothing new, but its a good easy to understand presentation.

  2. Start with Rich Dad, Poor Dad from Robert Kiyosaki. Then read his other books that interest you.

After that, I would suggest the collection For Dummies. They explain stuff pretty well!

And when you're ready, build a network of financial advisors and experts. You'll see what each one of them have to say. You'll get lots of pros and cons.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers!

  3. Your best chance is to just keep reading stories about business. Yaoo finance, and the wall street journal are good starts. You'll start recognizing more terminology as you continue reading, just give it time.

  4. Listen to this guy's podcast. He'll hook you up.

  5. as far as managing your own checking?  Or how to invest?

there are simulator websites out there so you can play around with stocks without risking money to give you a feel for how it works.
