It's pretty messy- my bed isn't fixed and there's tons of books, magazines and clothes on it. There's also clothes all over my floor and thrown in my closet, there's a lot of empty water bottles and paper on the ground. Don't even get me started with under my bed-- I found ROCKS under there. Where do I start???

  1. Invite me to your dinner and when you wake up morning you won't be worry about cleaning the room.

  2. bring a big bag for trash and unneded stuff start by doing that, the get a basket for your clothes and throw those in there, and put your readable things some where neatly , and then take the rocks out side ro something, and then vacume

  3. Well, start with the top of your bed and work your way around the room... I would suggest getting some trash bags handy and sorting clothing items:  DIRTY/CLEAN and then sort from whether or not you wear them.. Anything you don't wear DONATE to charity....

As for paperwork... Get a box and keep only what you need/use- discard everything else... RECYCLE empty water bottles... As for the ROCKS good luck with that.... You also might want to consider washing your bedding/pillows.  Going thru your books and possibly *selling your books in good condition to Half Price Books you'll get a little money and not have to worry about storing already read books.  Magazines you can DONATE to the library, hospital or RECYCLE!  If you don't have one get a HAMPER for dirty clothing and a trash can for your bedroom!

    Good luck

  4. start by vleaning the floor then grafually build ur way up

  5. I have done this with my 4 kids many, many times.  They are all grown now, but I still remember how we did it.  I know it can be really overwhelming and hard to know where to start.  This is what we did:

(Don't even look under the bed for awhile.  It can wait!)

    1.  Get some trash bags.  Start by going around the room and putting all the trash you can see in a bag.  Set the trash bag in the hallway,, because you will come across more trash as you go along.  Also dump your trash can into the bag.

    2.  Take a 10 min. break. (ONLY 10 minutes!)

    3.  Get a laundry basket or hamper for dirty clothes, and a basket for   clean clothes.  Go around again and pick up all the clothes you find and sort accordingly.

    4.  Take a 10 minute break.  Eat a small snack.  Drink some water or juice.

    5.  Get a box or container.  Put the items that you don't need right now, but want to save.  (Like little awards, gifts, birthday cards, letters, magazines, photos, books, etc.--You know what I mean.)  Store this box or boxes in your closet or a safe place.

    6.  Sit down and watch a TV show or music video of your choice.  (Make sure it is only a 30 minute show, not a long one.)

    7.  By now you should have found your bed, spread, blakets, pillows, etc.  Make your bed.  If you really want to be nice to yourself, put on clean sheets and pillowcases.  It isn't that hard!  You will be so glad when you fall into bed tonight.

    8. Take about 15 minutes to call a friend.  Get a cold drink and enjoy it.

    9.  Take all the clean clothes you picked up and fold or hang them up and put them away.  Any items such as books, make-up, CD's, DVD's, shoes, etc.  should be put in place at this time.  It won't be so difficult since you can walk around the room without tripping on all that stuff now.

    10.  That wasn't too hard, so you DON'T need a break yet!  Now go get the vaccuum cleaner, dusting cloths, surface cleaners of your choice (Pledge, 409, Lysol, and such).  Here's a suggestion: Check the vaccuum bag before you begin.   If it is full, change it or dump it before you begin.  This saves alot of aggravation!)

    11.  NOW take a break.  It's probably time to eat a little something.  Don't eat a huge feast.  It will slow you down and you'll be tempted to quit.  And you are so close to the end!  After your food (20 minutes allotted)  go back.

    12.  NOW look under your bed!  Take a broom and scoop everything from underneath and place items in appropriate places. It's probably mostly trash because, honestly, if it has been under there for a long time, do you really need it?  Now it's time to vaccuum, dust and clean all the little "dirty places".  Yes, if there are spots of dried-on beverages or smeared food on shelves or whatever, you must scrub them off.  No hiding these with a book or lamp!

    13.  Put vaccum and cleaning supplies back in their places.

    14.  Take your arms and wrap them around yourself and give a big hug!  Say, "Nice job!  You are a terrific person!"  Take a photo of this masterpiece, then go get your mom and show her what you did.  Maybe she'll think you deserve to go to the movies or something.  At least this would be a good time to ask.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!   You have cleaned your room!!

    (Hope this has helped!)
