I wanna do swimming but I don't know what to wear????

I don't want to wear a speedo because I'm not comfortable with them but want something like that e.g. trunks are they good or bad????

If your actually going to be on a swim team i would buy a jammer thats wat all the guys on my team wear. u can get them just about anywhere online... i suggest swimoutlet.com they have the best suits.

but really if your gonna join a swim team you should accept the speedo.

swim trunks are terrible to lap swimming, wayyyy too much drag

honestly speedos are the best for comfort and just plain versatillity.. You really should get over the self- conscious thing and really focus on the things around you. It is bad for one to be so inward and self absorbed. But if you really really think people are judging you and care sooo much about what you are wearing (selfishness) Then wear the dork shorts, try to run in them, try to swim in them, try to do anything in them... Then just once try it in a speedo and see the difference just try it, I promise you the majority of people really don't give a dam what you are wearing. And usually if they are checking you out, its because they like what they see not the other way around.  And if you really do think that everyone is watching you all the time then you really do have issues my friend, I don't say this to be harsh or come down on you, Im sure your a teenager and its just a phase we all go through. But seriously man wear what makes you comfortable, I wear a speedo for functionality, and people tell me they love me in them most of them girls, and its pretty sweet cause its all out there for whoever wants to see it can, and you know what it does bring a certain level of respect out in people, And girls really do dig the confidence. 'Boardies" suck. If you don't like a brief style suit, try a square cut. They are a bit more modest and they are very comfortable to swim in,
