I was looking at some burdock today and noticed the bur had looked different so I pulled one and tore it apart. In my hand I had white bur seed which looked like rice or barley or something. I know burdock is edible but don't know to much about the fruit. Is there anybody that knows what I could do with that? It sure looked like it may make a good veggie sort of like corn.

  1. Hmmm ... it looks like touching the burrs can be a bit irritating to the skin, but I'm not sure about the seeds themselves ... read the following:

But, this article shows that the seeds are edible.  Who knows how tasty they are!

"Historically, Burdock seeds have been crushed to make a popular tincture used to purify the blood, to treat gout and ulcers, arthritis, rheumatism, and help with skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis."
