I wanna get contact lenses..is it too expensive? im wearing glasses right now?

20 year old college student here. So how much does contacts cost? How long does each pair last? Is it hard to put it in at first?

Will I have irritation the first week or so?

Can I sleep with them on?

Can I play with them on?

Do I need to clean them? How so?

just call your optometrist office they will answer all your questions,  but ill try to help.

1. cost depends on what dr recommends in tx its $18 per box with 2 boxes lasting 3 months up to 160 a box with 2 boxes lasting 6 months, you typically need 2 boxes because the presctiption is usually different in each eye, the price also differs if you have stigmatism

2.they have daily disposables, they have pairs that last 2 weeks each thats the example i first gave you, they have some that last a month thats the second example. and then there are some that last 4 months and there are yearly



3. some people do have irritation, some dont feel them at all

4. the dr has to fit you for a contact that you can sleep with if its possible

5. yes you can play with them on

6. yes you have to clean them unless you get dailies

7. you just get the solution they recommend and put a few drops on the palm of your hand on top of your contact and then just rub each side and make sure to put them in clean solution every night. the solution boxes say no rub but if you do rub they stay confortable longer.
