me and my friend really want to catch a plane and go to sydney. We live in brisbane and we have been planning this for a long time. We want to go, only problem is both our parents are working, and we cant get a hotel there since were too young, im 15 and my friend is 16. All my relatives that use to be there have left, and now theres no where to stay. Any one got any ideas on what to do? Is there any other way of getting a hotel their?

  1. You could look into staying in a hostel. I dont know if there is an age limit or not, but its much cheaper than a hotel.  Sydney has a bunch of them.  Look for a TNT magazine.  They have information on lots of travel ideas and hostels. Good luck!

  2. hi I'm guessing you could try the YWCA or backpackers hostels but i have no idea on age restrictions, or you try a church group as they often offer accommodation to teens who travel good luck =)

  3. For a start, 15 and 16 year olds travelling on their own in and around sydney???  Forget it it!!  A Hotel is certainly no place for 2 young people like yourselves to stay in, and the best thing to do, is to plan a holiday with mum and Dad and your friend........you need to go with people whom you are particularly close to and will be safe WITH.

Look.....its a Big, wide, ugly world out there, with alot of people walking around carrying alot of bad feelings inside themselves because life is very hard for them, and sometimes, innocent people often find themselves caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, and sometimes it can change their outlook on life completely, and they can spend a lifetime trying to erase the trauma that may have unfortunately, taken place.  Its easy to think people can be trusted, and many of them can, BUT, there are others who dangerously  pretend they are to be trusted, when in actual fact, their motives are dark, troublesome, and deadly.

2 girls.....15-16 year olds, would be an easy, challenging target....possibly.....not to mention, its an expensive place to run out of money and be stranded.  Apart from that....Sydney can be beautiful, If your'e with responsible adults.  So.....my advice would be, stay home, save your money, or get a holiday job at home, and look forward to sharing a holiday with your parents instead.  Its safer and wiser that way....and after all......don't you deserve to be safe and to have a wonderful life?
