I wanna have a party for my friend whos coming home from iraq any ideas?

i want to have all of mine and her friends stand outside with posters before she gets there.....we are all under 21 so no alcohol please

CHOPPED PORK SANDWICHES

1 6-7 lb Pork Roast (Boston Butt/Shoulder)

Demon Pig BBQ Rub

2 bottles "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce"

Trim Excess fat from roast. Sprinkle with Demon Pig BBQ Rub.

Cook on grill with indirect heat at 225/250 degrees for 6 hours to an internal temp of 160 degrees. (This can be done in an oven or bbq smoker.)

Place in pan with 1/2 cup water, cover and place back on heat for one hour to finish. Remove from heat, let stand 30 minutes. Careful uncover. Let stand an additional 15 minutes.

Pull and chop meat to just under bite size pieces.

Warm "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce" slightly and mix thoroughly until lightly covered throughout meat. Serve additional sauce warm on the side.

Serve on buns with your favorite sides.

Big fish fry outside or BBQ.  I'm sure she will just be glad to see everyone. And a fish fry is easy and fun!! Some catfish, FF, hush puppies, slaw, onion, tarter, sweet tea and a dessert.    Or BBQ is more simple, just get your stuff ready early and pop it on the grill, a smoker would take hours but you just check it every now and then!! Potato salad, baked beans, slaw, buns chips, sweet tea, dessert. Either one, throw it on a table outside and let them fix there own plates! Just have fun!

I think a Bar-b-que would be great!!!  I would have all the sides to go with it, so your friends can have the pick of anything!! Also, I would have a really big cake made in honor of them coming home.
