1. well its always great to have anither guines pig join the family but they will need more room. make them a C&C cage if possible. how would you like to be in a small room all day?

a female guinea could have up to three to five babies or more.

    so good luck.

  2. get the same gender unless your ready to have a bunch of babies which can get expensive.

  3. No it wouldn't get jealous, unless you completely ignore it.

Getting another female is the best, they will fight but it's not life threatening and shouldn't last too long. Don't get a male if you don't want babies, if your female is over 8 months of age, and the male gets her pregnant, she and the babies will die because she's too old and is dangerous!

  4. two girls is better

they like to live groups in the wild

    and two girls won't fight

  5. When you put two animals in a cage with each other, they rely on each other for attention. You'll probably notice your original one isn't as loving. As far as getting a new one, put two girls together but I wouldn't reccomend two boys unless yours is really young.

  6. If your first guinea pig is a female than you should get another female. They will get along and will not bite each other if there is a right introduction.. put them both in a place where they never been before and just let them do all the rest of the stuff. They should get along.. guinea pigs are really friendly, tame, and social. The only other choice is having a neutured male, but it is hard to find neutered males already so you would have neutered it then. The best choice is another female. But having a female and male in the same cage is no and option because first the female will get pregnant and will have a big risk on herself and the babies, then when she is done delivering her babies she will get pregnant again which is really unhealthy.. and when they grow up she cant be older than 1 year old to get pregnant without big risks. So that is not a choice if the male is not neutered.
