I wanna have a trip in Beijing, any suggestions?

I am in Beijing now, and I wanna take a tour around. Yet I dont know much about Beijing and cities around. Could anyone give me some suggestions? Reliable agencies are OK for me.

Well, beijing is a very crowded city. You could get a trip for around $800. There are many great places in beijing, that are free of charge to enter. The Forbidden city is a MUST. It's best to take taxis around the city, as buses are overcrowded. Watch for any pickpockets. Plan what you want to buy in Beijing, don't buy stuff in other countries since beijing is very cheap, only for electronics though. (I got a wii console, 2 remotes, 10 games for only around $400 AU! )

It's best to take air china to beijing, they are very friendly and sometimes the even have a small tv for everyone in economy class and buisness class.

You should visit other cities like shanghai by taxi, train or bus. Best to take the train.

Make sure u bring lots of Yen to beijing to pay for the taxi fees and other fees and stuff u buy.

Good to know you don't get swayed by trends eh?  Do you know millions of people were left homeless because their houses were demolished to build the olympic venues?  Do you know they would get in trouble if they protested this?  

Most major airlines probably offer deals.  Also try sears travel.

Great Wall is a must, and also the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City. You can also try something different, like traditional residence, Hutong, for example. It's really impressive!

Chengde & some other cities around Beijing are quite nice, if you have extra time, just have a try.
