in addition to wearing trendy clothes, make sure your hair looks nice, your teeth are clean and you smell good.  Good hygene is very important!

to the answer about not worrying about branded clothes --

true, but everyone wants to have a good time in high school, and the reality of it is that kids tend to make friends more easily when they're 'in style'. it may seem unimportant, and I do agree, it really is (I just graduated high school, and it really doesn't matter now what I wore...) stupid to worry about wearing brand name clothes and worrying about how you look, but its important to an extent, unfortunately.

anyway, as for your question,

just wear clothes that you're comfortable with. showing a little cleavage never hurt, but there's a fine line between that and putting it all out there, that'll give you attention for the wrong reason.

confidence is actually really s**y to guys, so just be comfortable with who you are and what you're wearing, and everything will work out great for you ( :

i really loathe about how all this new generation really focuses on clothes, boys, and being popular.

don't you guys realize that when you graduate from high school - it will never matter if your clothes were from ambercrombie or kmart.

what will matter is what grades you got, how well you studied and your sucess in college.

ive been through high school and college

the kids who were popular in high school cannot hold a normal job for too long and have no good degrees.

all the nerdy high school kids have now graduated from ivy league universities and now are making $75,000 minimun starting salaries at jobs that they love, driving nice cars, living well

and making a contribution to society

can all you girls stop obsessing about your outfits......its so vain

your being far too vague? do you mean cosmetically or physically? don't wear too much eye makeup as well as follow these twiggy girls trust me we like curves. as for fashion i dont have a clue so your on your own for that
