  1. Royal Caribbean is the best service, cleanliness and rated the best food by the industry itself.

There are singles cruises but many singles do go by themselves all the time.

  2. Travel Guy pretty much nails it on the head.  I am also an agent and would tell you to also consider the following,  Durinig the winter months and early spring you can run into cool - cold snaps in the Bahamas and it can also be a bit nippy on the western Mexico cruises during this time of year.  From Jun - Nov remember this is hurricane season in the Caribbean (Bahamas and E. Mexico.  If you like beaches, then Bahamas & Eastern Mexico.  The beaches on Mexico's West coast are not the nice soft sand, the water is cold year round and not the nice tourquoise color you see in the Caribbean.

Hope the extra details help you with planning your cruise.

  3. Carnival is the best line to go with if you are single. They cater to young people and they have singles themed activites.  The bahamas however and not great - I would go to Mexico or the Eastern Caribbean instead.

  4. Go with Carnival if you just want to go to the Bahamas.

To meet people who are fun loving but a longer cruise, look into Windjammer Cruises.  The ships are sailing ships and not large but are very informal.  Not too expensive at all.  If you are a "people person" and want to meet new friends, Windjammer is good.  They have several ships that sail the Caribbean.

    Look them up on Windjammer.com.

  5. there are some crusie lines that offer singles cruises but with other cruises you then would have to pay double occupencsy because they arent thinking that one person wants the room like you would have to pay for two people  because they split the cost between two people for the room it is weired

  6. Carnival has a ship that goes to Nassau, Bahamas for a day. Not a long day but good enough.

The boat is called the Valor, built only 3 years ago I believe so it's in very good condition.  I justed checked the daily "newspaper" called carnival capers and on our first day on the cruise they had a singles meet and greet at 10pm, one for people 18 and over and then one for 35 and over. I don't have the time to look for more singles events they had but hope that one gave you an idea.  There are 13 nightclubs and lounges in total so there will always be something to do. They have activites on board during the day such as surviver and pool volleyball and fear factor, anyone can join in to those. So there are tons of activites always happening on the cruise.

I hope that helped. Enjoy your cruising!

  7. Carnival Sensation

I just got off the boat a few weeks ago and it was so amazing, by far my best vacation ever..

  8. I took a cruise by myself this past summer and had the best vacation of my life, but I wasnt looking to meet a whole lot of people either though. I took a 5 day Carnival Imagination to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. There are group cruises you can go on, I just didnt do it because of my time frame.

  9. taking a cruise? AWESOME!!! they are so awesome to go one one. You meet all kinds of people and you get pampered like crazy. Laying by the pool and the waiter comes right to you when your glass is about empty to get you another and you don't have no worries. Just sit there and enjoy every moment. As for Bahamas. Don't go to Nasau. It's a dirty town and  the natives bugs you all the time to buy stuff and you really can't enjoy walking around. If you set up tours (on the ship) for when you get there, those are nice. they also drive like crazy there

  10. Go to a site such as Travelocity and check. You can also go to the TripAdvisor forums to get recommendations of previous cruisers.

  11. There are only two major cruise lines that do short cruises: Carnival and Royal Caribbean. I've been on both.

Carnival is geared toward more of a younger, louder, party-er (is that even a word?) crowd, and is priced lower. They have the largest standard cabins at sea.

Royal Caribbean tends to cater towards couples and families, has more up-scale ships, and definitely better food and service.

From the East coast, a short cruise will get you out to the Bahamas and back. From Gulf ports, you can get as far as Cozumel, and on the West coast you'll get down to Baja.

The beauty here is that given your choices, you really can't make a bad decision. Both cruise lines do good jobs of delivering their products. Be advised that they also tend to use their "older" ships on these short cruises.

    Bon voyage!

  12. I have heard that Carnival has more of a party atmosphere.  Maybe look into an organized group tour.

  14. We took a Carnival Cruise in August to Nassau. Had an aw some time, ate great food, had fun with friends. When you book  take a look at the excursions, that way you have time to look the choices over.
