I wanna transfer to public high school thats atleast 3 miles from where i live, it it possible? please answer?

schools about to start and im about to attend C.R.E.A.T.E charter school in jersey city that i don't like because of the uniform, I want to transfer to dickinson high school which is 3 miles away from where i live. Could i go to that high school and tell them if i could apply or do i need someone who live near the high school to get in?? Please answer

Well where I live (Oregon) if you want do transfer schools, there's a form that you can fill out every year (time of year depending on school district) called an Enrollment & Transfer Form.  It's somewhat of a "lottery" where basically your information is put into a digital "hat", if you will, with others who wish to go to the same school.  For more information, ask someone that works in the school district (like someone in the school office) about the Enrollment & Transfer Center.  GOOD LUCK!
