I understand that you can take your hard drive out of the PS3 and put a new one in, I don't know whether or not there is a specific hard drive to buy or just to use a computer hard drive. If anyone has an answer for me, give me the name(s) of any brand name(s) that I can buy over the internet and upgrade my PS3. Thank you.

  1. Any 2.5" laptop sata hard drive will do, but it should be 5400rpm, there is a full guide on how to do this and what to use at http://www.ps3offer.co.uk/ps3-hard-drive... , to get your hard drive try amazon or misco for the best prices and type " 2.5" sata 5400rpm " in the search bar of those sites and it should bring up the hard drives you need. I followed the guide above and it was a doddle.

    Good Luck!

  2. It has to be a 2.5 inch SATA HDD. You can get a 250GB here.

    http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-WD...

  3. 2,5" SATA 5400rpm HDD. 7200rpm will work too, but Sony recommends 5400rpm HDDs. Western Digital or Seagate are very good brands.
