  1. With the advent of golf carts, clubs who have caddies are at a minimum. Find one of the better clubs near you, call them to see if they have a caddie program. Then make yourself available, You will gather experience as you go along. .

  2. Most caddy jobs are now only at private courses.  They are usually looking for caddies each season, and will usually provide "caddy lessons" by the caddiemaster (your boss).  There is quite a bit to know to be a good caddie but if you like golf you will learn it easily.  It is good excercise, you will learn a lot about golf, and it can pay quite well.

  3. i've never been  a caddy or even had a caddy.there not much too it mainly just gotta carry there golf bag.but i think some basic knowledge of the game would definitely help. so if you play you'll be fine if not do a little researching the game. or watch can't think of the name O its the story of bobby jones i think or bagger vance.to see how a good caddy does it.also like that kid said to respect them that means kiss there ***.better tips. good luck

  4. It depends on the course. Some places require no experience at all, while others require you to be a very proficient golfer. The Wynn Golf Course here requires all of their caddies to carry a handicap of 5 or less (and be able to prove it).

All you really need to do is call around at ask though. As long as your positive, helpful, and enjoy the game, I'm sure there are plenty of courses that would hire you.

  5. This past summer I caddied at a private course in VA called the Olde Farm.  I had no prior experience with caddying before then and I picked up very quickly. I have played golf for many years, but I worked with people who didn't know the game at all and were still able to caddy.  It was a very good summer job and it's easy to master as long as you treat the players with respect and focus on their needs.
