i have yellow carded the previous answers cos only one is right.DO NOT DO IT YOURSELFif anything goes wrong then you could endanger your own and other peoples lives.get a qualified corgi reg. plumber to do any gas work.

If you are asking this you are not a registered gas fittter so it is very likely thatif you do it the installation will not be approved and if it goes wrong, and someone is injured or worse, you could go to jail.  Gas is not trivial.  Not because it is hard to do gas plumbing, of course it is not, as mains water is much higher pressure.  It is just that mains water will not explode and kill someone if one of your joints leaks.

If you are not qualified, by which I mean having your ACS, then under no circumstances are you allowed to do ANY natural or LPG gas related work. YOU WILL BE BREAKING THE LAW.

ONLY A QUALIFIED COMPETENT PERSON IS ALLOWED TO WORK ON NATURAL OR LPG GAS. IF YOU WERE QUALIFIED YOU WOULDN'T BE ASKING THE QUESTION IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I wouldn't even consider it if i were you... Unless you're competent working with gas and have your CCN1 qualification then you shouldn't be fitting gas pipework or working with gas in any way. Call local gas fitters/heating engineers to see what they suggest and how much they'll charge.

Are you mad?  Gas is probably the most dangerous stuff you are ever likely to handle. You want a Corgi approved Gas fitter to do the job.  It may even be illegal to do it yourself now.
