I want a 2004 BMW X5 4.4i but my brother keeps saying its girly and my girlfriend says its a soccer mom car?

Well I always wanted a BMW since I'm little. I like suv's, they are what i learned on. My dad agreed to get me a BMW X5 but he wants me to get a 3.0i because I'm known for a lead foot. I think I can talk him into getting me a 4.4i. My brother and girlfriend think the X5 is girly. I would probably get the truck in Silver, Toledo Blue, or the Slate color. Does anyone else think that the X5 is meant for girls?

any other cars you reccomend? I'm 17

okay first of all does you girlfriend or brother have an X5? didn't think so. Trust me one of my friends has a new X5 and they are pretty freaking awesome. They are no way in h**l a girly car. They are very nice, and they are also very fast. The 3.0 is fast but the 4.4 is very fast and they can be manly cars if you go with a color like black, or maybe even the blue. If you still want a BMW SUV then get what i recently bought which is the new BMW x6, look them up and i guarantee that no one will call that a girly car.

a 2004 x5 would be the way to go. it is not girly, they are great vehicles. the 4.4 is also the way to go, the 3.0 engine just cant keep up with the rest of the vehicle in my opinion and the v8 sounds awesome... do not go for an updated x5 (E70) (2008 model) they dont have the balls that a 4.4 E53 does... as long as the major upkeep has been done on it you wont get any nasty surprises down the road (lower intake reseal) could cost you more than a grand easy at the dealer... hoses and cooling sys problems are all or none (if one goes, usually you can expect to replace the rest sooner than later) also we have problems with the tailights burning......otherwise, it is a very fine vehicle, definately not girly.... go for it!

Girly cars include the VW Beetle, Toyota Corolla, and any Hyundai or Kia. I wouldn't worry what they say about the X5.

With that money you should opt for a VW GTI, it's a German car just like the X5, but cheaper and way more better looking && sportier.

It cost about $23,000 USD.

its a great car.

if u dont like it, try a MAZDA SPEED3, research those cars, they're the best, especially for a 17 year old.

I dont really think the X5 is girly. But if your 17, do u want an X5? i mean go for a sports car for all that money! You could get something sweet like a used BMW M3 and not have anyone question whether its girly or not. s***w the suv. gas is mad expensive and you cant throw it around a curve haha

My mother has the 2004 X5 4.4i. Its a great car for both males and females.

It depends on the color and the accessories it has to judge whether its girl y or boyish.

Many famous people (mostly male owns X5). Example: Beckham, Orlando Bloom etc.
