  1. don't get fake grass and guinea pigs live indoors out side is not safe for them without you there to make sure a cat, dog or other type of creature cant harm them. you can buy lots of grasses like timothy hay and alfalfa grass at pets stores for your guinea pig to chew on and lay around in

  2. If you cant give your guinea pig grass you can give him lucerne pellets and pasture hay, these are really good for them, make sure you also give them lots of fresh fruit and veggies, heres a site that has a list of do and donts for guinea pig food.

And yes, it is a really really bad idea to get "fake" grass (if you mean the fake grass that I think you mean)

  3. nope...and yes incase he chews it...

  4. dont worry about not having grass. if your talking about a run for the guinea pig needing grass, then it doesnt! my guinea piggies are indoor pigs, so they run around my floor. They enjoy eating grass though, but you can buy dried grasss from a pet store or just snip some grass from someone elses garden! :D

  5. Grass is not an important part of a guinea pig's diet. You can buy dried grass in pet shops though, if you want to give them some from time to time.

  6. no need for grass but at pet shops you can buy things like alfalfa an timothy hay

  7. you don't need grass i had 2 guinea pigs, i didn't use grass and they were fine don't worry about it!

  8. Fake grass would be a REALLY bad idea. If your guinea pig eat it then it could die. You dont have to have to have grass. Just as long as your guinea pig has a nice, big hutch to stay in with plenty of places to hide.

  9. No need for grass unless you'd like him to run free around your yard, Get him a cage and put lots of hay in it! That should do my guinea pig never had grass when he lived with me just lots of wood to chew on!

  10. well i don't get it are you keeping your guinea pig outside or what, because if your not i don't think that i really matters. and what happened to alll your grass

  11. If you can't afford to buy proper bedding and food, you don't need a guinea pig -- or any other live animal.
