I plan on getting some minnow to keep as a pet. They probably won't live long but anyways... What should I keep them in? What should I feed them?

  1. Get yourself some White Cloud Minnows, a 10gal tank, a power filter, and some basic plants like Java moss. No heater needed

Set the tank up, cycle it and add a hadfull of minnows. They should live in there fine, and should even breed, so you can keep them indefinately as there will always be new ones hatching, even if the originals die of old age after a few years.

Feed them normal tropical fish flakes, they are not fussy eaters. DONT overfeed them.

  2. Oh gosh, they live forever. -___- My brother had a snake that ate minnows. The snake passed away and there was still a minnow left in his water bowl. So we took it and put it in a two gallon aquarium, and we figured it wouldn't matter much what we fed it/how we took care of it, because it was a feeder fish anyway. So we fed it the goldfish food, and we don't have a filter for it water. Here it is, alive two years later, still, being on a diet of goldfish food and only having it's water changed out about once every two months or so. So I guess keep it in anything and feed it goldfish food. Worked for us. :P

  3. get a 12 gallon tank (minimum)

    a filter

    gravel

    water conditioner

    etc

and buy 6 white cloud mountain minnows

dont take fish from the wild
