I want a My Chemcial Romance tattoo?

Question

Yes, I realize its permanent! But I've thought this through! I want to be able to tell my children about the band that saved my life by telling a story with my tattoo! What i need help with is design. I design tattoo's, but I want more creative idea's because all my ideas are all just the band name in funky letters! I'm putting this tattoo on my arm. You can suggest other places, but Not the back! It hurts! Thank you in advance!

Have a look at the album art and see if there is anything on them which inspires you. "The Black Parade" has great album art, and you might be able to incorporate parts of it into a tattoo. I personally wouldn't want lyrics tattooed on me, but maybe the actaul name of the band in fancy lettering might look good too.

The only reason that anyone should ever get a band tattoo, is if they are in the band.

Unless it's Grateful Dead. That is the ONE exception.

hmmm, i used to loveee this band lol... umm maybe you could do like a face of gerard, when he used to paint his face. like with thhe black stripe across his eyes.. or you can maybe do a favorite lyric? a vampire.. because they had that vampire song?

they were always into like the skeleton thing.. i always remembered seeing them in skeleton suits, and gloves.. maybe get a skeleton glove or just skeleton thingg, along with a lyric?

i would pick a lyric from one of their songs that has particular special meaning to you. It can just be text or text with a picture. anything you want.

then write/draw it out. tape it to something (multiple things even) you look at everyday, like your bathroom mirror, the ceiling or wall next to your bed, in your car, on your stereo. And then take some time to decide if that's really want you want. do you want to see the same thing for the rest of your life?

i'm not trying to discourage you, by all means do what makes you the happiest. i just want to make sure you know what makes you happy.

I don't know much about the band, but I suggest you do something abstract that alludes to them. Since you're a designer, you probably know that just writing My Chemical Romance wouldn't be the most creative idea. Some bands have symbols, don't they have like a heart or something? Or is that the Used. I guess I'm not really helping much. Do some research, look at their website. You could draw something and use the colors that band uses the most. From what I've seen, don't they use mostly blacks and reds? My two favorite colors. Arms and ankles are my two favorite places. I would suggest you get it on your ankle in case you want to wear a spring dress or something.
