I want a blue quarker parrot but i have kids and dogs will the bird fit into our family okay?

probably not.. parrots need a lot of attention and with a lot of animals and kids etc you might not have the time to give it all of the attention it needs.. having a parrot is almost like having another child, that isn't as easy to control and can bite your fingers off! So I would really give it a lot of thought before you take that leap..

birds can easily be injured, you would really have to watch the kids and dogs.....if you have outside dogs it might work.

well it can but did you realize how much work a bird is an dthat type of bird is alot and they can live 40 to 50 years and they are neat birds but you also have to make sure you have a vet for them. they are smart and they areneat but they need alot of attentnion first thing you do is get it to the vet and then you hae the wings clipped. you also find out what it is boy or girl. then you make sure the dog does not get the bird. Your kids can be taught about it and how to talk to it also they talk and very good also. they love attentnion and you haveing it out a lot is must. you need to realize they love to be on bottom of cage and they can do stuff down there get toys and stuff for it and things for big bottomed cage. take care and goo dluck
