i got 1A*, 2As, 4Bs, 1D and 5Cs( including two in maths and i'm going to drop it in Alevels because i can't do it, so i was thinking of an alternative subject to go with my other choices which are chemistry, biology and english lit). Can i make up for this in my A levels? Do unis ask for your GCSE result even if you get high grades in Alevels? Thnx. Ireally would appreciate your advice

  1. Yes you can do physics instead of maths, but that is MUCH harder. If you want to do medicine you need to do maths, no way around it i'm afraid. I have chosen the same subjects as you including maths, also you need 3 A's at A level to get in for medicine anywhere (that means you need the A's in chemistry, biology and/ or maths & physics).

I asked the same question about how much A level results matter, and trust me they matter MUCH more! Check this out: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...
