i want to buy a decent car want t o spend about £3000 on it can anybody able to tell me which one is better for me and it should be 5 doors ....thanx

See if you hold of a smart forfour, very economical, very quick and has 5 doors. Plus you'll own a rare, modern car. Just a thought.

We`ve had Renaults for YEARS and never had probs with them... my boyfriend works for renault.  We`ve got a Renault laguna - you should pick one up about a 2003 or newer for about that price... get a diesel if possible.

What are you paying for gas per gallon in your country? I am assuming that you are not in the U.S. because you do not have U.S dollars.

USA Lady, this is the UK site so I doubt it is in america and also did you not notice the £££ symbol?

Anyway back to the question. £3000 will get you a fair bit of car for your money. You can afford a 2001/2002 Vauxhall Astra, 01/02 Ford Focus, 01 VW Golf, 02 Renault Megane, 04 Citroen Xsara amoung many many others. I would limit myself really to a 02 Ford Focus with good mileage and higher spec personally but at the end of the day look around test drive and see what suits your own needs best. Good Luck.
