  1. they kill the animals for meat and leather. luckily today they use guns. at least they get a quick death. anyway truck comes with animals, all kinds of them, cows, bulls, goats, sheeps, pigs, chicken. truck isnt loaded, its overloaded with animals. they are greedy and they will find some more space on the trailer to load as much animals as possible. then in the slaughter house they are killed, those machines cut the meat, skin is used for leather. and then they transport meat to the stores.

on PETA website and youtube are videos about what is happening in slaughter houses. nothing nice. even hygiene is poor.

  2. Death. plain and simple

  3. Depends on the animals. For cows:

    Animals arrive in a lorry.

They are taken through the process one by one.

They are killed with a bolt gun through the brain (instant kill but the animal continues twitching for a while).

Throat is slit and animal hung to drain of blood.

    Animal is skinned and butchered.

    For pigs:

    Animals arrive in lorry.

Killed with an electric shock through the head.

Throat is slit and animal hung to drain.

Animals shaved and remaining hair burned off.

    Animal dropped in boiling water

    Animal butchered.

Chickens are hung then shocked to kill them. Sheep are done with a bolt through the head.

It depends on the slaughter house on how the animals are treated before being slaughtered. Also in Halal and Kosher slaughter houses the animals are killed by slitting their throat rather than a bolt or electric shock.

  4. I have seen sheep and pig slaughter first hand.

The animals are very quiet, because they don't smell death and are with their mates. They're actually not stressed by the process, which is surprising.

Modern slaughter houses will either use a captive bolt pistol (which is like a gun, but with a retractable bolt that can be reused) to kill near-instantly or they use electric stunning. The electrical stun lasts approximately 45 seconds, in which time the animal is hung upside down and the throas it slit, so it bleeds out to the point of unconsciousness in 30 seconds. That means it is unconscious until it's dead.

They are then moved onto the processing line (which differs for each species), and can be a bit queasy to look at if you're not used to blood.

Different species are kept seperate. People have made accusations of the transport trucks being overstocked. The animals do look tightly packed on the trucks, but that's because if they have room to move around, then they fall down and get trampled. These species can easily spend a few hours standing anyway (what do you think sheep do all day), except perhaps for bobby calves which have different regulations in place.

In the yards at the slaughter houses the animals are given more space and access to clean fresh water.

If the animal is compromised in any way (sick, injured or improperly stunned) it cannot be sold for human consumption and is put into pet meat.

I am happy to discuss this with you further if you like.

  5. blood and guts all over the place, The animals walk in .A steel trap opens.

they get ground up and sent to McDonalds

  6. Modern slaughter houses are pretty much the same world wide.  The animal is killed and then divided into various usable parts.  Modern slaughter houses do not have much waste other than water used for cleaning.  All parts of all animals processed in modern slaughter houses are used, either as a meat product or as a by product.

  7. Listen to "ol", some of the others are chock full of misinformation.  There's no whooping, hollering, bawling or other ruckus going on and animals are kept calm for the simple fact that excited animals turn into "dark cutters", meaning the flesh is pumped full of blood and is less valuable.  Google "Temple Grandin" and you'll see that slaughterhouses are as human as they can be, thanks to McDonalds and Temple.  Except for Kosher killing, where the animal's throat is cut and they bleed to death.  The captive bolt gun is much more humane because it fires a metal shaft into the brain and around 98-99% of the animals die instantly.  In other words, they drop instantly and never know what hit them.

  9. They kill animals. They cut them up in to parts. Some of the parts are processed into people food, some are waste, and some by-products are processed into other non-food products.

Then they clean up the mess and dispose of the waste.

  10. as the animal walks in they electrocute it and slit its throat, hang it upside down and drain blood as that is happening they shave off the hair, then take a torch to it to get any hair they missed and then they pull off the feet caps then put it in a hot bath(dont no the temp. but its realy high) for bout 5 min. pull out (all markins are removed by bath thought that was pretty cool) torch it again, cut from the gentals to sternum and put "bad meat" in one bin and put the usable organs in the other, then store body in freezer
