  1. There's no question in this that I can see.

Get two male rats if you so want, though they generally aren't aggressive if handled daily.

...I think that's the answer to your 'question'.

  2. Yup, I don't see what you are asking either...

There is no such thing as a naturally aggressive animal. If you wind up with aggressive rats, you have either been treating them abusively, not handling them enough, or they have some mental disorder.

Male rats are a lot more territorial than females. They do fight every now and again. But so do females, it's normal. They never fight to serious injuries, just to put eachother in place. This this behaviour is natural, not worries. Just provide a large cage, like for ferrets, and multiple hiding places.

  3. rats are amazing pets and if you want them then get some :)

generally males can be more aggressive than females but it depends on the rats personality and how they have been treated by the pet store/breeder. they may nibble your hand when you put it in the cage for the first week or so but dont worry my females did this and they are just getting used to you and this should stop after a couple weeks.

have fun with your ratties :)

  4. They are the best pets in the world..cuddly, squshy, loving, I have 17 rats currently and 11 are males. I have had a few agressive boys but usually someone takes them down a peg or I have had them neutered.

  5. It really depends.  Male rats are more known for being on the lazy side than anything.  Make you've researched them a lot and really know what you're doing and what you're getting into.  Rats have lived for 5 years, which is a long commitment.

When you do decide to adopt, consider adopting from your local animal shelter.  When they do get rodents, they are usually there for many many months before they get adopted.  The cost is usually similar, but the money you spend there goes towards helping other animals vs going to a large corporation.

Male rats are more likely to be aggressive from large pet stores as they are usually feeder rats and not socialized with humans.  If you do adopt them from a pet store, look for a small local one, and find out where the rats came from.  Baby rats raised by an individual are usually better used to humans and will get along better with their brothers.
