OK, I want a credit card because sometimes you don't have money and you really need it and because I want to start my credit young. The problem is, I don't know **** about them and I don't know where to start...So is there a good Samaritan out there who will offer me help?

  1. Borrowing money on a credit card will almost always come back to bite you in the butt if you can not control the urge to "buy something right now!"  If you want something save up for it and pay cash (save the receipt too!)  Sometimes after saving up for a particular item and you finally have enough money you may decide that you really didn't need that item anyway!

You can get into a lot of trouble "borrowing" from a credit card to purchase something on an impulse!  They do come in handy for purchasing plane tickets and items over internet or telephone - within reason!  When you borrow money (use the credit card) on a credit card you have to pay the company back on time!  If you are late paying that card payment it can s***w up your credit rating.  You can not be a couple days late, you have to be on time!  You also pay interest on the money you borrow if it is not paid off within a certain time period or it is an ATM withdrawal.

Google up MasterCard and Visa and read up on what they offer.   You do need a job and a good track record for paying bills off on time (good credit.)  Visit your local bank and ask about a credit card.  A credit union may be easier than a bank to get a credit card.

Often young people who do not have an established credit background can start off small by obtaining a store charge card and after demonstrating you can pay those bills on time then use that card as a reference for a national credit card.  If you ever bought a car through a dealership on time payments you have established a credit trail.

    Good luck.

  2. I started with a 100 dollar card from Macy's.  It's easy to apply, and it adds to your credit score without it being a visa or anything.  After that I got some crappy ones.  Just to start off with, but don't use them that much because of the high rates.  When I got a better card from Capital One and Bank of America, I stopped the other ones.  So really, it's a process.  If not, then start with a secured credit card or prepaid one.

  3. ok a credit card is a card that you carry in your wallet or puss you can use it to buy stuff

then they P***k you in the end

but never get a card with anual paymants first time payments or any charges stick with a low interest rate

  4. Your best bet would be to go to a bank that offers credit cards and talk with a personal banker/customer service representative. You wouldn't actually have to get a credit card with the bank, but the person you speak with could explain the details of a credit card to you in an accurate, easy-to-understand manner. Being that they're trained to know the products, they would be a good source of knowledge.

  5. you can get a credit card from First Premier Bank

To avail of the credit card, you should be at least 18 years of age. You should be employed or have some regular source of income. These are two important criteria and if you can give convincing proof to demonstrate your suitability, you will be easily approved. You may have failed to pay back the old credit card debt or some flaw may be present in your credit report. In this situation, getting a card will be tough.

  6. Credit cards are good to have but you have for two reasons, convinience and building credit there are two ways you could start credit one or them is taking out a small personal loan which you might need a parent or an adult to co-sign for you meaning if you do not pay the loan they will. Or you could apply for a credit card for bad or no credit which most likely will get you approved no matter what, but if you are a student you could get a student credit card which will offer you lower rates and no annual fees, check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com and go under bad or no credit or student cards. good luck

  7. Don't bother, you don't need a credit card to gain credit. Sign up for a Gas card instead. Credit cards are evil :-\
