i want a diesel in my c10. it has a 350 but i just like the thought of a diesel. besides diesel is the way of the future and i would like to be a step ahead of the game. This is not a daily driver. i just want a sweet c10 that i can drive every once in a while without payin a fortune to afford.

  1. Big truck, lots of room.

Dont go the V-8 diesel route as they use a lot of fuel, but an oldr 4 cyl one maybe an industrial type would work swell. a 4 cyl John Deere or Cummins would be a really good choice as they are easy to service, and you can get an adapter plate made easily for that engine to fit your trans (which trans anyway?)

. Diesel HP ratings are low compared to gas engines but the torque makes that up really well.,

this guy put a 4 cyl cummins in his bronco

  2. I would say it would be a lot of work as most all of the fuel system will have to be changed as well as wiring, exhaust, etc. It's all relative to time, money and how bad you want it.  I recommend a later model 6.2 or 6.5 turbo out of the early to late 90's C/K trucks. Good luck and happy wrenching.

  3. whats a c10?

  4. Get a diesel from a Chevy pickup.
