how do i get a cartoon character face next to my name?? it is probably the simplest thing in the world to figue out..lol but im sorry i have no idea how

go to "my profile" then "edit profile" the select show yahoo arvark" or what ever it is called.  If you don't have one, click the link bellow and it will bring you to the page to make one..

Use this link in oder to create your avatar.

If you want to put a picture of you or a different cartoon from the ones you find in the avatar adress you will have to create a 360 account.

After you're done,go to your profile page and to "edit info" link and change your settings.

Go to Yahoo Avatars and create your cartoon face there. You can then use it across the Yahoo service wherever avatars can be used.
