  1. If some one tells you a dog is free DO NOT get it, because it is a high chance there is something wrong with it. Try a shelter but like someone else said if you can't afford the price of a healthy dog, you wont be able to afford to take care of it. Wait until you are financially set to givve it the care it will need.

  2. then dont get one.

    vet? food?

  3. If you don't have the money to purchase the dog in the first place, how will you afford food, collar, leash, toys, vet visits, potential medications, etc. etc. etc. etc.? You can adopt a dog from a shelter - which is the only way you should purhcase a dog - because a free dog is probably either ridden with illness or bred illegally. Unless you get it as a gift, please wait until you're ready.

  4. Go to the pet store.. they have rats for like 5$.

  5. dogs are not "free"  they cost money to take care of.

A "free" dog will likely need vet care.. depending on what the dog needs, it can cost you more in the end..    you do realise that heartworm treatment alone can cost $500-600+ if a dog has it right?

Your best bet is to try a rescue..  You can find a fully vetted chi for a few hundred or less..  even a $300 adoption fee is a steal for a dog that's spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heatworm tested etc.

  6. Check out local rescues and shelters. They will not be free, but the adoption fee will be smaller than purchasing one. I would also check out petfinder. A 'free' dog is likely to be a dog with a lot of very expensive vet bills in the future. If you're prepared to deal with that, fine, but if you aren't (and usually people who are looking for a free dog are not), look to adopt from a rescue group that vet checks the dogs, or buy from a very reputable breeder who does genetic testing. You'll save the price of the dog twice over or more in vet fees you would incur on a 'free' dog, usually. Even if you buy or adopt a good quality, healthy dog, you do still need a couple thousand stashed in case of a vet emergency before bringing a dog home. Odds are you'll need it at some point.

Just to give you an idea, my young, 'free' rescue dog (free from a rescue because she needed care they could not afford to provide), is up somewhere around $6000 in vet bills since March when I adopted her. This is not at all unusual for a 'free' dog. If it's free, especially a small, highly desirable breed, there's something wrong with it, and it's probably something expensive.

  7. I want a lot of things But I can't get them free.

Try a Stuffed animal because thats about all you can afford.

No dog is free not even a free one!

  8. Hun the words "free" and "dog" shouldn't be allowed to go in the same sentence, all dogs cost

  9. No dog is ever free.

If you cannot afford the purchase price,  you will never be able to afford the care.

    There is no such thing

  11. im sorry to brake the excitment but i don't think u can get one for free

  12. The cost of owning a dog far exceeds the initial expenditure of $500. You should consider how much he will cost to feed and take care of, in addition to annual and potential emergency vet bills. I have a little dog, and he initially cost $550, which is nothing compared to the other costs of having a dog. If you do get a free dog, do look into getting pet insurance to help you cover health care costs. Hope this helps.

  13. I own 4 Chihuahua's myself. You know the cost to actually buy the dog was the cheapest part of owning them even for 1 year. Mine are well bred and generally healthy too. If you were to get a "free" Chihuahua chances are it would cost you much more to actually take care of properly than it does for me to keep my well bred Chihuahua's healthy. Why because if anyone were to give away a pure bred dog it would either be very sickly or very aggressive. Quite possibly both.

Nothing in this world is free. Especially owning a living, breathing animal. If you really want a Chihuahua save up to buy one from a reputable breeder or adopt one from a shelter or Chi rescue. Of course always be aware that toy dogs such as Chihuahua's are fragile and can cost you $1,000 in vet bills without warning for broken bones. If you don't have $500 to buy a Chihuahua chances are you can't afford to own a Chihuahua.

  14. just get a stray dog,we got plenty of them here,u can take a cat 2 ,we have a lot of them 2

  15. If you don't have  enough money to buy it you won't have enough money to take care of it.

  16. Go to a shelter they are less than $500. You can look at this website. Besides there is no such thing as a free dog.

  17. If you know anyone with a chihuahua, see if they're thinking bout breeding, if so get one. I got no friggin idea beside dat

  18. even if you do get a free dog, how are you going to provide its needs?

  19. Unless you have a friends that have extras or you go to the pound everyday to see if there is one and to get it first, I don't think you can. Like you said those dogs are worth money, because the pure breeds.

But try the shelter, you might find one, or even a better dog.

  20. you could always for somewhere like the battersy dogs home you can adopt one for free because they want them to have good homes.

    hope this helps xx
